Sewa Connects with Frankfurt’s Charitable Organizations at Ehrenamtsmesse 2026

Sewa participated in the 19th Frankfurt Voluntary Organization Fair (Frankfurter Ehrenamtsmesse) on September 12, 2026. This was organised by the City of Frankfurt as part of its Year of Engagement 2026. Held at the historic Römer in the city center, the fair brought together 109 non-profit organisations, clubs and local initiatives, representing Frankfurt’s wider network of more than 200 charities.
The fair featured organisations working across environmental protection, sustainability, culture, sports, civic engagement and social inclusion, while giving visitors opportunities to discover volunteering options.
Sewa Connects with Volunteers
Sewa hosted a booth and took part in the volunteer speed-dating session, introducing visitors to its work and exploring opportunities for them to contribute. Frankfurt Mayor Mike Josef also engaged with participants, encouraging civic engagement and volunteer participation.
The team further connected with other charities to explore collaboration. Discussions included an initiative providing meals for children affected by cancer, where Sewa explored periodic volunteer support, and a project developing micro-houses as temporary accommodation for homeless people.
The event also provided insights into initiatives such as Lebenshilfe Frankfurt and GDPR guidance offered by the Hessian State Commissioner for Data Protection.
For Sewa, the fair was an opportunity to connect with volunteers, exchange ideas and build partnerships that can translate into meaningful community action in Frankfurt.
