🇳🇵 Nepal Flood Relief 2026 – Stand With Nepal

Nepal Needs Help Now

Nepal is facing a severe flood and landslide disaster following massive flooding along the Bhotekoshi River and other affected areas.

Communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, East Nawalparasi and surrounding districts have been severely affected. Floods and landslides have damaged homes, roads, bridges and essential infrastructure, while disruptions to electricity, drinking water and communication networks have made access to many communities extremely difficult.

Families affected by the disaster urgently need food, clean drinking water, medicines, temporary shelter and other essential supplies.

🚨 Sewa Nepal Is Responding on the Ground

Sewa International Nepal, together with local volunteers and partners, has initiated relief and service activities in the affected areas.

First responders and volunteers are working to:

  • Provide food and drinking water

  • Support families who have been severely affected

  • Clear debris and assist communities in restoring access

  • Establish temporary shelters

  • Assess urgent needs in affected communities

  • Coordinate relief activities with local authorities and other response agencies

  • Prepare and transport essential relief materials as access becomes possible

Teams have already been mobilised in affected areas, including Nuwakot, while additional relief materials are being collected and prepared in Kathmandu.

🚧 The Biggest Challenge: Access

One of the major challenges is the destruction and blockage of roads and bridges.

Many volunteers and relief resources are currently based in Kathmandu, while damaged transport routes are making it difficult to move people and supplies into the most severely affected areas.

As access routes reopen, larger quantities of medicines, tents, food, hygiene materials and rehabilitation supplies can be transported to communities that urgently need them.

🤝 How Sewa International Europe Is Helping

Sewa International Europe is supporting the Sewa International Nepal team and the relief effort on the ground.

Our focus is to mobilise resources across Europe and help ensure that essential materials and financial support are available for the immediate response and the next phase of rehabilitation.

We are working to support the rapid procurement of essential relief materials, including:

Food | Clean Water | Medicines | Temporary Shelter | Hygiene Supplies | Essential Relief Materials | Rehabilitation Support

As the situation develops and access improves, support will be directed towards the most urgent needs identified by the teams working on the ground.
