Sewa Dandiya

The Embassy of India, Oslo, in collaboration with ICCR and SEWA Norway, organised the grand annual celebration — the 6th edition of “Dandiya for SEWA 2025” — on 18 September 2025 at Vallhall Arena, Oslo.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of over 2,000 attendees, who came together to celebrate India’s cultural diversity, unity, and the spirit of sewa (service).

The highlight of the evening was the enthralling performance by the Gujarati Folk dance troupe, “Ghumti Gori” from Gujarat, India. Dressed in vibrant traditional costumes, the troupe brought the lively beats of Garba and Dandiya to Oslo, captivating the audience with their rhythm, grace, and energy.

Adding to the festive charm, many attendees also donned colourful traditional attire, transforming Vallhall Arena into a vibrant sea of colours and joy.

Beautifully designed selfie corners adorned with traditional Gujarati artefacts and décor gave guests a perfect spot to capture memories while showcasing Gujarat’s artistic heritage.

Visitors also enjoyed food stalls offering regional cuisines from across India, creating a rich tapestry of flavours that celebrated India’s culinary diversity.
