Building connections through cultural exchange, community engagement, and volunteering

SEWA International Europe e.V. is exploring a community partnership with DOSOR Kulturgemeinschaft e.V., a community organisation based in Heidelberg, Germany, to encourage volunteer engagement and strengthen community connections.

SEWA Europe Joins DOSOR's Durga Puja Celebration

As part of this emerging association, SEWA Europe participated in DOSOR’s Durga Puja celebrations on 17 October 2026, where the organisation hosted an information booth. The stall provided an opportunity to introduce visitors to SEWA Europe’s mission, ongoing initiatives, and various volunteering opportunities.

Through its work in disaster management, education, health and wellbeing, and volunteer engagement, SEWA Europe strives to bring people together through the spirit of selfless service. The event offered an opportunity to connect with members of the local community, raise awareness about these initiatives, and encourage individuals to contribute their time and skills towards meaningful social causes.

Exploring Opportunities for Community Collaboration

DOSOR Kulturgemeinschaft e.V. has expressed interest in working with SEWA Europe to co-organise community events in and around Heidelberg, with a particular focus on promoting volunteering and community participation.

Both organisations look forward to exploring opportunities for cultural exchange, collaborative initiatives, and activities that bring communities together.

The participation in the Durga Puja celebration marks an encouraging step towards building this association and creating more opportunities for meaningful community engagement.

SEWA Europe extends its sincere gratitude to DOSOR for the warm invitation and hospitality. We look forward to nurturing this association and working together to promote the spirit of service, participation, and togetherness.

Together, we can build stronger communities through volunteering and selfless service.
