Emergency Response Update
Nepal Flood Relief: From Emergency Aid to Sustained Recovery
Following the catastrophic flash floods of 26 August 2026, thousands of families across Nepal were displaced overnight. Sewa International Europe immediately deployed frontline volunteers and emergency resources to safeguard lives, establish emergency supply chains, and begin structural rebuilding. 100% of every public contribution goes straight to ground relief.

FIELD RECORD // 26 AUGUST 2026 AFTERMATH
Verified ground reports from our field coordinators document widespread destruction of infrastructure, water lines, and rural homesteads. Our rapid response network is actively working in coordination with local volunteers to reach cut-off mountain valleys.
PHASE 01: IMMEDIATE RELIEF
Emergency Essentials Deployed
In the critical first 72 hours, response teams delivered dry food provisions, temporary shelter tarps, solar-powered emergency lighting, and essential medical supplies to remote pockets of displacement.
• Dry food and clean ration distribution • Hygiene kits and water purification tablets • Urgent missing-person tracking support
PHASE 02: REHABILITATION
Restoring Community Foundations
As waters recede, Sewa is initiating long-term rehabilitation programs ensuring children return to learning and vulnerable community members receive sustained care.
• Re-equipping damaged village schools • Dedicated care for children and seniors • Livelihood grants for micro-enterprises
